Pamela's Purple Garden: Pamela & Vinod

I know this is an extremely late post, but I just had to share this wedding! It was a beautiful event, with a very beautiful bride, Pamela.

The couple held their special day in August last year at the Royale Chulan, with a very elegant, but simple theme: Purple.

Here is the beautiful bride, Pamela and her pretty bridesmaids. Pamela's bouquet consisted of elegant lilac tulips accompanied by two toned purple eustomas.

This wedding was great that it was already held in an indoor garden, so it started off unconventional off the batt. We just had to make sure that Pamela’s favourite colour would suit the environment well.

The garden concept hall is quite large and open, hence we proposed a wedding gazebo to be built in the middle so that there is focal point. and why not wrap it all with pretty flowers:-)

We decided that a red carpet was a bad idea; white on the other hand would compliment purple much better. So we lined both sides of the carpet with soft purple petals that led to the altar. The soft colours from the carpet and the lilac roses and white daisies gave a more striking feel to the stronger purple elements like the dark purple hydrangeas and purple daises.

We topped off this beautiful event with some pomander balls on the aisle chairs, which helped add some colour to the lily white chairs.

All in all, theres nothing much more to say other than it was a beautiful wedding! And we would like to thank Pamela for the really sweet testimonial she gave us!

“Hi Safia, just wanted to thank u for the great job you and your team did yesterday for our wedding. I loved and was in awe at all the deco. Truly what I wanted n imagined. Thanks heaps :) your definitely in my recommendation list!”

Congratulations again Pamela & Vinod!

Farah & Kamarul's White Afternoon Soiree

It’s the New Year! And we’re awfully sorry for the delayed post, but the Poetry of Flowers team has been very busy bees this month. After all, January is always a favourite for couples to plan their weddings.

But despite all the hard work, we couldn’t be any happier. There is really no greater joy than being able to help a new couple with their special day. And when it comes to love birds, Farah & Kamarul are one of the special ones.

Not saying that we like to play favourites, but their wedding was one of our most fun projects to date. So we would like to thank them for coming to us almost a year ago, with a theme which was originally Alice in Wonderland which then turned to an all White Ethereal wedding.

Was it traditional? Nope.
Was it going to be hard to pull off? Maybe.
Was it going to be a beautiful wedding? Most definitely!

We love playing around with new concepts, especially when we get to add our own little twist to it. Of course, it was all up to Farah, and this girl knows what she likes.

She wanted her wedding to be simple, understated, and yet chic. And we knew exactly what to propose to her: beautiful white Baby's Breath with romantic candle lanterns of various shapes and sizes. So for a wedding that wanted a little magic, we really couldn’t think of anything else.

Thank you again Farah& Kamarul for falling in love with the Baby's Breath! Because the way everything turned out, it looks like they loved both of you back.

Congratulations again!

A main table fit for a duchess

The wedding of Abyan Junus and her duke Ken at the Duchess Place saw us working our creative hands in composing their main table decorations. In order to bring out the mood of the enchanted evening, we played with different textures of flowers but mostly in white and pink hues with the inevitable pops of red. Candles were placed strategically between loose arrangements of amarylis, hydrangeas, eustomas, roses and mums in glass vases decorated with stitched ribbons and pearls. The flowers were definitely the stars of this dreamy and sylph-like wedding.
